Seared tuna with strawberries and kiwi

Ingredients

  • 4 Jingold kiwis
  • 12 strawberries
  • Mixed salad leaves
  • 1 x 700g tuna steak
  • 4 tablespoons EVO oil
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • freshly grated ginger, to taste.
  • Honey
  • sesame seeds, to taste.
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

Clean and wash the mixed salad leaves. Wash the strawberries, then slice them. Peel the kiwis and slice them thinly. Take the tuna steak. Coat it in honey and then in sesame seeds. Sear the tuna in a hot pan with a little oil (30 seconds per side). Place the tuna steak onto a plate and cut it into cubes. Now for the dressing: emulsify the oil with the lemon juice and honey. Add the ginger, salt, and pepper. It’s time to assemble the dish: place the salad in a large bowl. Add the chopped strawberries and kiwis, and the cubed tuna. Pour the vinaigrette over the salad, mixing until the dressing is well combined.
