It’s spring time: here are the secrets to fighting tiredness, with effective and healthy remedies!
Chronic tiredness is something we always have to deal with when the seasons change, although it can be caused by numerous other things or situations: not enough hours of sleep, an unbalanced diet, stress, an excessively sedentary routine are just some examples of bad habits that can result in tiredness and fatigue.
Making an effort to improve the quality of our life with small gestures and changes can truly make all the difference in terms of energy, productivity and…mood! Let’s take a look at a few ideas:
• Get at least 7-8 hours sleep per day to guarantee our body’s minimum sleep requirements! Trade your smartphone in for a good book and a relaxing herbal tea at bed time.
• Engage in physical activity: it may sound strange but it’s true: spending most of the day sitting down or lying around on the couch can make things even worse! On the contrary, regular physical activity like going to the gym, swimming, or even a simple walk outdoors, stimulates endorphins and helps prevent those annoying feelings of tiredness and exhaustion.
• It is important to reduce sources of stress, learn to delegate and focus on one thing at a time, so that we can concentrate all our energy on vital things!
• Pay attention to what you eat and drink lots of water: it is a proven fact that a healthy diet that is rich in fibres, vitamins, low in refined sugars and saturated fats, favours well-being and helps us to stock up on all the energy we need to tackle our everyday lives! Drinking at least two litres of water helps us to stay hydrated and keep tiredness at bay, especially during the hottest times of the year.
